Laurentian dry waste depot
Recovering, recycling and reusing dry waste are at the very heart of our company’s vocation. Thanks to acts such as these, a considerable volume of material avoids going into landfill sites.
Most materials we collect are recyclable. They include dry materials from construction, renovation or demolition, non-fermented residue and non-hazardous waste:
Wood, paper, cardboard
Plastic
Brick, cement, stone, concrete, asphalt
Ferrous and non-ferrous metals
Drywall, roofing shingles and other related materials
It is our driving concern to minimise the use of landfill sites by optimizing our sorting techniques for dry materials. We invest in the latest, most efficient technologies. For example, our GPS system allows us to locate our trucks in transit, which reduces delays for deliveries and pickups of our dumpsters.
We sort the material at each of our depots, which allows us to maximize recovery, recycling and added value of the materials we receive. We hand-sort these dry materials at our Montreal and Laurentian depots. Anything recyclable and value-added is then transported to our main sorting centre in Laval, located at 140 Saulnier Street.
